Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use RetroSave
• If you're under 18, you must have parental consent
• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security

Acceptance

By creating an account, accessing, or using RetroSave, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes affecting your usage.

Account Creation

• You must provide a valid email address
• Choose a unique username (3-20 characters)
• Create a strong password (minimum 8 characters)
• One account per person (no account sharing)

Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining account confidentiality
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
• We are not liable for losses due to compromised credentials
• Enable two-factor authentication when available

Account Restrictions

• Do not sell, transfer, or share your account
• Do not create accounts using automated methods
• Do not impersonate others or provide false information
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Prohibited Activities

• Store or distribute copyrighted game ROMs or BIOS files
• Upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to breach security or disrupt service operation
• Reverse engineer or decompile the service (except open source components)
• Use the service for illegal activities or piracy
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Exceed storage limits through manipulation
• Resell or redistribute the service without authorization
• Use automated scripts to abuse the service
• Store non-gaming related files to circumvent storage services

Content Guidelines

RetroSave is designed exclusively for legitimate game save files. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms or appears to be unrelated to gaming saves.

Enforcement

Violations may result in warning, suspension, or permanent account termination at our discretion. We may also report illegal activities to appropriate authorities.

Subscription Plans

• Free: Limited features, 100 saves, 1GB storage
• Pro: $4.99/month or $49.99/year
• Family: $9.99/month or $99.99/year
• Lifetime: $199.99 one-time payment

Billing Terms

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• Prices may change with 30 days notice
• All payments processed securely through Stripe
• Applicable taxes added at checkout
• Payment required before service activation

Refund Policy

• 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions
• No refunds for lifetime plans after 14 days
• Prorated refunds for annual plans cancelled mid-term
• No refunds for violations of Terms of Service

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. Cancelled accounts retain data for 30 days.

RetroSave Property

The RetroSave service, including its website, logos, and proprietary backend code, is owned by Wikivec INC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Open Source Components

The RetroSave desktop client is open source under the MIT License. You may freely use, modify, and distribute the client according to the license terms. See our Licenses page for details.

Third-Party Rights

Emulator names and game titles are trademarks of their respective owners. RetroSave is not affiliated with or endorsed by any emulator developers or game publishers.

Your Save Files

• You retain ownership of your game save files
• You grant us license to store, process, and sync your saves
• We may compress and encrypt files for efficiency
• You can download or delete your data at any time

Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your content. Ensure you have the right to upload and store any files. We are not responsible for content you upload or any resulting consequences.

Privacy

We do not access your save file contents except for technical support (with your permission) or legal compliance. Your gaming data remains private.

By You

You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings. Upon termination, your subscription will not renew, and your data will be deleted after 30 days.

By RetroSave

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Extended inactivity (12+ months for free accounts)
• Non-payment of subscription fees
• Legal requirements or court orders
• Fraudulent or illegal activities

Effect of Termination

• Access to the service immediately ceases
• No refunds for unused subscription time (except as required by law)
• Data available for download for 30 days
• After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted

Service "As Is"

RETROSAVE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RETROSAVE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

No Guarantee

While we implement robust backup and security measures, we cannot guarantee against all data loss scenarios. We recommend maintaining local backups of critical saves.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RetroSave from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

• First attempt: Good faith negotiation via email
• Second attempt: Mediation in Delaware
• Final resort: Binding arbitration under AAA rules
• Class action waiver: No class or representative actions

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RetroSave regarding the use of our service.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or service announcement with at least 30 days notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
